I'm a new owner of a TC40D. I've been considering a few simple additions, but have not gotten the kind of support from the dealer, at least not the kind I would like. Does anyone have a reference or catalog for simple NH additions? Anything available online? For example, does NH offer a grill guard? or a backup light that fits into the tractor wiring harness and vacant switch positions? Are these accessories affordable?

Dave,
As a proud owner of a Boomer, I,too, have been looking for various NH accessories. My dealer doesn't really get into too many, and has not been real eager to get back to me on my requests for the various NH stuff I see from time to time. Other local dealers in my area are about the same. Maybe someone out there knows of a dealer on line that not only carries enthusiasm for tractor accessories, but also handles all of the NH marketing items, i.e. hats, shirts, jackets, etc. ....

Dave--although I am not a Boomer owner, I spent many, many hours considering the purchase of a TC40D. During those many hours and in sitting down with salesmen from two different dealerships to determine the price of the tractor, I discovered that (at least for the series III Boomers) there is an excellent semi-wraparound grillguard available that folds down forward to allow the hood to tilt up--and was so impressed that I had the dealer include it in the price. Also, there is a factory original rear worklight that attaches to the ROPS next to the right flasher or it attached to the right flasher bracket (I forget) and plugs into the wiring harness that is already present. This rear worklight has a builtin switch. (In case you are wondering why I didn't purchase the series III Boomer--the price was right and I really liked the tractor, BUT it was too big for my needs). ....

Dave, I just bought a tc35d w the 16la. I opted for the front grill guard and the dealer said the cost was $185. Now, I don't know if that's MSRP or what. I paid 18,775 for my package with the guard included.
I have not see a catalog for any NH accessories except on there web page.

Dave
I to live in New Hampshire, Town of Moultonborough. I been sniffing around my local NH dealer located in Tilton. I have met and talked to the owner there and he seems to be a fairly upstanding type guy. But, you never know for sure !! I was just curious as to what dealer you were refering to so I could keep it in the back of my mind for future referance.
It always nice to know which dealers are just after the initial sale and which ones will stand beside you for the little things, even after they have got your money for the big things. Mark

Mark... It sounds like we are neighbors. We live in New Hampton, and ended up buying my TC40D4 at Ryan. I paid more than some buyers are quoting on the web but I'm not concerned. I feel Ryan has provided great service. It's alway nice to get the "best" price, but in the end the satisfaction with the overall deal will be determined by things other than price. I am going to check other sources for implements, just to know what is possible. Good luck. Let me know what you do. Dave ....

Dave, It will be some time before I get Boomerized, I just bought a 1988 JD 950 MFWD T/L/B at what I believe is a good deal. I figure that I will pay off this one as quick as I can and then use it as a trade in on my TC 35D. This way the monthly payments won't sting as much. My 950 has already earned it's first months payment and started on it's second, if I an do that 46 more times I will be golden. Ryan's salesman quoted me a price on a 35D W/ FEL of $21,200 That was with out any dickering or talk of a trade in. My note with John Deere Credit is for 4 years, I am hoping to clear it up in 3 or less, so I still have plenty of time to shop, talk and research. I have placed a picture of my "Boomer to be", as my computer desktop wallpaper. It will keep my goal fresh in my mind. Unfortunatly I keep having to wash the drool of my screen. LOL Mark ....
